My initiation

It's been 5 years since my dedication - the Goddess chose the day. And now, 5 years on, she has finally chosen my initiation to the Craft, tomorrow on the full moon at 1pm :)

My initiation is to Wicca.

Ten years studying can't be bad lol. I have blessings from the Elves and the Fae folk, both wish to come :)

Oh how perfect, the eclipse of the full moon will just be ending. She will be poking her round the shadow cast by Gaia to see you there waiting. I congratulate you Amy, (although I should congratulate the wiccan circle, for they will be recieving something very special in you!). So it's congratulations all round lol. Nice one! lol no Tim I was initiated into The Craft, not a Coven or Circle :) The Goddess told me I was ready as it's been 5 years since my dedication, I made the ritual myself.

I had some last minute adjustments. A wise Witch pulled me over to one side and had serious words with me, she told me to tell her some things and confirmed that I was from Avalon :) The place of the Elves. I should not be dedicating myself to Wicca as I do not follow it, I should be dedicating myself to The Craft (the Old Ways). In the end that's what I did, it felt right in my heart. It's what I learnt in past lives and what I have the knowledge for... In Wicca I'm still warey of it, and the Goddess approved of the Old Ways when I asked her so... destiny I suppose :) Thank you for the congratulations - not many people seem to understand lol. It feels like a "coming of age" but with knowledge not years :)

Lovely thing called iPod touch. I don't follow wicca either, being a witch of the oldways for nearly 8 years, it's in my blood initiations are the greatest thing to happen, but it means you are in it for life. Like when the goddess guided me to the role of high priestess in the coven me and a few friends created. She allways knows best. I live in Glastonbury which is Avalon it's the home to many many magickal beings

Some people say Glastonbury is the home of Avalon, however I think it's in Wales. It seems more logical to me since the 5 Guardians or Goddesses of Avalon are all in Welsh legend (along with King Arthur and them ones - also English). The lake the Lady of the Lake lived in was also meant to be in Wales, she's the one who took Athur to Avalon :)

There are a lot of reasons why Avalon may be in Glastonbury (like the Tor, that's Avalonian), however when I went to Wales it just felt like home. It feels like that every time I go to Avalon too.

It's no problem being part of it for life. Why should I worry about it when I've been part of it since my soul was born? Life isn't such a long time after all. I'm just glad I found home in this life too :)

When I "regressed" myself to my past lives in the mythical realms, do you remember me saying to you? The Lady of the Stars helped me get there (I don't know her name, that's what she called herself). Where I went was actually Avalon :) Me in Avalon through the ages lol. I have to admit, the Lady of the Lake is very nice... she likes to gossip, but she's nice :)

I am fuming. I just left "Wiccan Pathways" because of their ignorance. "You can't be initiated unless you are in a coven", sorry my friend but that is for COVEN initiations, not into the craft, "One does not need to be dedicated OR initiated to be a witch", yes I know, anyone can be a witch these days. Excuse me I KNOW ALL THIS! Is it not fair to let people be? If people research the topic, thuroughly, they know that in the past few centuaries it has also been a solitary ritual. An OPTIONAL one.

I don't know why I bother, that's the second Wiccan site I've had hastle off no wonder people still call them The Devil and burnt them in Old Times. I truely am fuming, making out I know nothing on the topic! Who is the Higher Authority! A High Priestess, or the Goddess herself! I know were my heart lies. If the Goddess told me to go against a High Priestess I would! It shows they know the hierarchy. Does this not mean that they serve the high priestess first, and then the Goddess? I'd breath fire if I could.

I took an oath yesterday not to speak bad of other witches, however I also took a oath to speak out if the Rede was being broken. "In perfect love and perfect trust". Speaking out against me is not perfect trust, rather the opposite.

I know what it's like to be burnt for my beliefs, to be persecuted, I will not have it in this life too! Especially by other Witches who think they know better. Who are they to talk when they follow one of the newest religions on Earth! They hardly have their principles except the Rede put up to guide them. I know who I follow! I follow the Goddess Hecate and the Sun God Ra! Who are they to go against their command and wish? If they want to initiate me they can! I am in no Coven, I need no Coven. I follow the Goddesses Wishes not any mere humans. The Goddess and God are supreme in The Craft. Even they should know better than to speak out against their wishes.

I took an oath to defend thy Craft, and I will.

Amy that's why I left originally someone told me I was too young to be high priestess so much for experience. Unfortuatly some people believe that is true. That it takes a witch to make a witch. I believe that it's the goddess that decides all! When my initation happened ( to the craft) it was unexpected but it happened. It's the same with the coven! It just happened, the goddess guided the members together. The goddess then guided me too high priestess which I wasn't expecting, ignore everyone who judges you. You have a right to be annoyed but remember the rule of three. Again congrats amy

How young you are has nothing to do with The Craft. So long as you are mature enough to respect The Craft then you are old enough to do anything. Does being 57 years old with two years experience in the Craft make you a more "better" candidate for being a High Priestess than someone in their 20's with many more years? I don't think so. Being a High Priestess is about knowing your Coven and The Craft - you of whom know both very well :) I know from experience! I went to you about the Sabbats and any questions I have about it - you are who I go to! Not the older but less experienced people I know.

If it takes a witch to make a witch then there should be no witches at all on this Earth. After all, who taught the first witches? The Goddess and Gods did!

I'll post the rules that I am bound by in a blog when I have time :) Which is quite a few! Though I wish others were bound by the same rules because then we would not have prejudices. I swore an oath not to judge, and if I did, or I questioned The Craft or Goddess (which I'm not meant to do), I'd seek the Goddesses advice first, and she tells me that their frame of mind is more "human" prejudices than the Path of the Goddess.

Thought this might cheer you up,i wrote it many moons ago.

THE WICCAN GIRL
One day i was walking through the forest,
Towards the end of a summers day,
When i chanced upon an amazing sight,
That took my breath away.
I spied a girl with Wiccan charms,
And eyes of sparkling emerald green,
With the blackest hair,the reddest lips,
The most beautiful i had ever seen.
She was dancing around a balefire,
With flowers in her hair,
And as she whirled around the flames,
She scattered stardust everywhere.
She was singing songs about the earth and moon,
And of the winds and the sun and the rain,
She was singing of water and of fire,
As she danced around the flame.
Her singing and dancing amazed me,
Every moment i watched felt less real,
I felt enchanted by this vision,
So incredible beautiful surreal.
It was then when i stepped from behind an oak,
She stopped and looked at me,
And with a smile these words she spoke,
"Come dance Sir and keep me company".
Well i joined her around the fire,
Where we danced until i could dance no more,
Until we both fell to the ground exhausted,
Upon that forest floor.
Where we both sat and talked of natures many things,
Like the flowers and the trees,
Of Mice and Owls and the Honeybees,
And how beautiful a Nightingale sings.
After a while i then asked of her name,
She again just smiled at me,
Then after putting her fingers to my lips,
She kissed me tenderly.
Her kiss tasted of the forest fruits,
As sweet as sweet could be,
Then with words so soft and full of love,
She gently whispered on to me.
"If you promise to give your heart to me",
"I will gladly give my love",
"A love that will match all you desire",
"For all eternity".
Well i promised her my heart completely,
And she gladly gave her love,
Until we both fell asleep together,
With the green forest boughs above.
Then later as i stirred from my slumber,
I found myself all alone,
With just a pile of balefire ashes,
To remind me of what i had known.
Well i searched for an age in that forest,
But i knew deep down she was gone,
And i knew i would never ever see her again,
Or hear that Wiccan song.
Well i left that forest a broken man,
With no heart for love to fill,
For i had given it all away,
In a promise to that Wiccan girl.
So next time you see a man alone in the forest,
Just remember my sorry tale,
Because it could be me still searching,
For my heart and that Wiccan girl.
